Nature’s Transformation

New Earth Beckons (10)

It is now mid-autumn — that point in the cycle of Mother Nature’s year between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice.

In a step by step progression from season to season, from autumn to winter, transformation in the New England landscape is especially noticeable in the vibrant red, orange and golden foliage of the maples.

In recent days, blazing red maple leaves have been glorious against the sky in the early morning light.  After two days of rain, however, that visual delight has become a memory, and the towering tree’s branches await new greening in the Spring.

Everywhere, among the trees, there is a visual metaphor:  The opening landscape mirrors to us an opening into a wider view, an opportunity to see with new perspective.

Just as the expansiveness of the now-opening view among the deciduous trees allows more light into the landscape, so too our openness to a wider view inside ourselves allows more light to pour into our awareness.

More light brings enhanced clarity.  This enhancement contributes to greater enjoyment in our expression as who-we-truly-are.

Within the New Earth way-of-being, harmonizing with the cycle of the seasons within Mother Nature’s year is implicit.

Attuning to the autumn transformation of Nature’s deciduous trees can be experienced as an inherent part of our celebration of connection with Mother Earth.
