Harvest Moon

New Earth Beckons (9)

The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that is seen closest to the time of the Autumnal Equinox.

Traditionally, the Harvest Moon was associated with the early Autumn harvesting of crops.  The summer growing season was now winding down and it was time to complete the storing of foods to provide sustenance through the upcoming colder months.

There are other forms of harvest as well.  Everything that is materialized is energy configured into form.  The planting of seeds, the growing season, the harvest can all be seen as metaphor — especially if we are attuned to the cycles within Mother Nature’s year.

When we give our attention to our intention, thus calling forth that which we envision to manifest into form, and focus our actions accordingly, the outcome will be a harvest.

It may be a harvest of experience which provides understanding about that which needs refinement.

Or, it may be a harvest of that which was intended.

It may also be a harvest, a fruition, of a long-held envisioning — opening a gateway to success beyond one’s imaginings.

Two days ago, the day of the Harvest Moon, a friend wrote:  “What would be a word for ‘vaster than miracle’? I am at a loss of language here…”

Metaphorically speaking, an apple had arrived in his hand — suddenly, as if by magic.  It had taken years, however, for this “suddenly” to occur.  Timing has a lot to do with all such “magic” — when the energy pieces configure into a form that matches, or abundantly exceeds, the vision.

He was describing a uniquely bountiful harvest.

Ideally the Harvest Moon evokes good feelings — feelings of fruition, feelings of enjoyment

Happy Harvest!
