We choose to continue. Entering the rose arbor gateway, intense sweet fragrance is all encompassing. We feel we are bathing in it. With every step through the arbor, we breathe deeply the intense fragrance of the many varieties of roses.
Reaching the arbor opening, we find we are near a crystalline dome. Faeries and elves are circling round the dome, dancing playfully. We are surprised to see the elfin piper once again. We had not noticed his arrival until now. He speaks to us.
"I have been asked to take you to the place where the rainbow bridge begins, should you wish to go there." We feel him studying us intently. He speaks to us again.
"I receive from you the understanding that you want to go there.”
We nod silently, still rather surprised to see him in this place.
"I will show you the way,” he says. "First, please seat yourselves comfortably among the wildflowers.”
We follow his direction.
"Please close your eyes.”
Once again, we follow his direction.
"Now listen carefully," he says.
"The understanding is: You need not walk there physically to be transported." Then he continues, "There are many layers within the direction of your focus — the rainbow bridge. We begin at the beginning, the first layer.”
Seated comfortably we recognize that we have arrived — somewhere. We are now inside a crystalline dome.
As though sensing our recognition, he says, "This is correct understanding. Someone will meet you here. I am calling her.”
He plays one note on his flute, three times. There is laughter in his voice as he explains, "We have an understanding, Goddess Crystal and I. You may now open your eyes.”
We are seated inside a crystalline dome whose floor is a carpet of wildflowers. As we open our eyes, we find we have been joined by a female — slender, statuesque, and lovely. With her is a crystalline sword taller than she.
She smiles warmly at the elfin piper and says, "Thank you. It is my pleasure to answer your call.”
Turning toward us, she says, "The rainbow bridge awaits those who are ready to perceive it, and to walk it, and to comprehend the view from the bridge, and to share its magic. There are many levels. I can introduce you to the first one at this time.”
She pauses, as though to consider her words, and then she continues, "Thus far, in your dreamtime journey, the power of balance has been active, though it has not been directly mentioned. Listen carefully. To go forward from this point — to enter the rainbow bridge — the power of balance must be comprehended. Balance of inner and outer, balance of feminine and masculine, balance of heart and mind. There MUST be balance.
To have come this far in your journey of discovery, some understanding of balance has been essential. Without it, you would not have been comfortable proceeding through the gateways. Your understanding of balance will become clearer, and more inclusive, as you enter the rainbow bridge.”
She now pauses again, and looks into each of us intently. We understand that, whatever else she is, she is a seer — one who sees within.
Once again she speaks. "Balance is essential. So is harmony. You see my crystalline sword?”
We are indeed aware of her sword. Inside the dome it radiates beautiful rainbow colors — as with light pouring through a prism.
She continues: "To enter the rainbow bridge, you must begin to integrate the power of my crystalline sword. Some of its power is the power of harmony. All of its power is healing, rejuvenating.
We have been observing her carefully while she speaks. It is clear that the one who appears gentle and very feminine also radiates profoundly the power of the goddess.
As if hearing our thoughts she says, "I am Goddess Crystal. Though not well recognized, I have been with you for a very long time. Though I appear youthful, I have been working in other dimensions far longer than time is counted. I am especially fond of the rainbow bridge, for it is connected with my home." She smiles, and her smile is radiant — both ethereal and tangible. She hears the question we ask silently. "When do we enter the rainbow bridge?”
She smiles. "As soon as the recalibration is complete. Look around you.”
We look around us inside the crystalline dome and we realize we are sitting within beams of every color of the rainbow.
Goddess Crystal smiles at us and says, “Balancing."
Then she adds, "Harmonizing. Soon we will differentiate among the colors.”
